Why isn’t the old message board working?

Dear Bishop Spong Subscribers and Message Board Members,

After much technical haggling and a great deal of effort, we painfully came to the conclusion that we would not be able to work with the company that hosted the John Shelby Spong message board or even transfer the community data to a new one.  We are very sorry about this, but please know that we made every reasonable effort.

However, not only do we have another option for you, but we think you may find it both a stimulating and exciting one. We have linked you to the ProgressiveChristianity.Org (TCPC) message board.  We have been told that it is one of the best managed message boards in the country and we are proud of the efforts our Board Administrator Joseph Mattioli and his teammates, John J Kuykendall and Mike Scott. The board currently has over 600 active members and last year posted well over 22,000 posts.  Although we have specifically set aside a forum for Bishop Spong subscribers, we hope you that you will feel free to roam the entire board and join in whenever the subject attracts you. I believe you will find some new, interesting and wonderful friends.  You will need to register on the board just one time and you will have a separate log in separately to the message board.

Finally, we know that this is a change and most of us do not like changes! But we hope you will jump right in and give it a try.  We would like to hear back from you if you think that we can improve in any way.
